Itinerary
Join us on this new unique excursion and enjoy sailing in a relaxed atmosphere while cruising along the Adriatic islands. On this trip you will visit 4 Dalmatian islands with the first stop being the popular Golden Horn beach in Bol, on the island of Brač. The excursion departs from Riva in Split is at 8:30.
Island Brac
At 9:30 you arrive in Bol and you will have free time for swimming, snorkeling and sightseeing. Feel the charm of the small town of Bol and walk on a memorable pathway leading to the “Golden Horn” or “Zlatni rat” on the island of Brač . It is a beach that can be found on many tourist brochures and covers several hundred meters of the blue coastline. It’s distinctiveness lies in it’s constantly changing shape due to the sea waves and strong currents. The beach is made of small, white, rounded pebbles and is an extension of the coast, almost making its own peninsula. The wind is what makes it so unique, it is the reason for its unusual shape. Currents and waves shaped the beach and smoothed out the stones, making it (almost) the perfect beach. “Golden horn” is an internationally famous windsurfing destination. The beach also offers activities like parachute rides, pedal boats, jet-ski, banana boats, windsurfing schools, scuba diving school, beach volleyball and many other things. Behind the beach there are pine tree woods, that offer shade and release an incredibly pleasant scent. There are also many restaurants where you can freshen up from the heat and where your kids can have fun on the playground. Among the white pebbles of Zlatni rat you can find the so-called “stone of good fortune”, a seashell shaped like a winkle. Legend has it that whoever finds this seashell will be lucky for their entire life.
Island Hvar
Our next stop is Island Hvar. All the travel guides describe Hvar as one of the most beautiful and must-see places in Croatia. From 12:00 to 13:00 enjoy exploring architectural and historical sites such as ‘Arsenal’, one of the oldest theaters in Europe, Hvar’s cathedral, Franciscan monastery and the Bishop’s palace. If you are not crazy about history there are plenty of fine restaurants and vibrant beach bars. You should visit the fortress ‘Fortica’ that has a stunning view over the town and take some amazing photos. Also, don’t forget to pick up some Lavender grown on Hvar.
Pakleni Island
After Hvar we take you to nearby islets called Pakleni islands. You arrive there at 13:30 and have free time until 16:00. The cove of Vinogradišće lies at the southern coast of Sv. Klement, the largest and most famous of the Pakleni islands. This deeply indented cove is one of the most popular and best berths in the waters around Hvar. When strong southern winds disturb the calm you can safely berth on the opposite side of the island – in the ACI marina Palmižana. The Vinogradišće cove – also known as South Palmižana among local sailors – has a small sandy beach, several superb restaurants with traditional food and a great views over the sea, a fanciful lounge bar, and a short promenade decorated with exotic plants brought from all over the world. Surrounded by pine trees and many different kinds of plants that form a natural botanical garden, you can relax while listening to the sounds of crickets and sipping cocktails at a beach bar.
Then we will begin sailing toward Split stopping on the way in the town of Milna. There we arrive at 17:00 and you have one and a half hour of free time where you will be able to taste homemade wines and olive oil in a small authentic tavern and have a dip on the slip by the tavern.
At the end of this beautiful and adventurous day you will return to Split.
